We are fortunate to have The Dana Farber Cancer Institute in nearby Boston. The Dana Farber Institute is one of the top research facilities working to find a cure for cancer, while providing patients with the best care available. The Institute opened in 1947 as the Children’s Cancer Research Foundation, by Dr. Sidney Farber. Since then, the Institute has grown to become a teaching location for the Harvard Medical School, a designated AIDS research facility, and the hub of numerous community health programs.
This is why we are excited to be part of this year’s Bakes for Breast Cancer charity week. Bakes for Breast Cancer gives you an opportunity to try baked goods from participating locations throughout Rhode Island. The proceeds from the sale of these special treats will be used to support The Dana Farber Institute.
Ellie’s and Gracie’s will be contributing pink lemonade macarons for this event, which runs from Sunday, May 11 through Saturday, May 17. Stop by, have a treat, and know that you are supporting a worthy cause.
