Ellie’s is excited to bring you our 2014 Holiday Macarons. We had some help from you for the December flavors. There were a lot of creative and delicious submissions for our macaron flavor contest, and the Ellie’s and Gracie’s staff had a tough time voting for our favorites. The voting was tight, but here are the winners:
Deb Shaw hit the nail on the head with Dark Chocolate, Peppermint, and Mocha. The mocha adds a nice twist to the traditional peppermint and chocolate combination.
Lauren Riccio suggested a Christmas fairy tale flavor, the Sugar Plum Fairy. This white chocolate and dried fruit macaron with a sparkling shell evokes wonderful Christmas memories for our staff.
The Wildflower Honey and Sage macaron, submitted by Joe Pentecost is our third holiday macaron flavor. This one is light and almost savory, like a hint of spring in the midst of a New England winter.
These flavors will be available through Christmas, and we would love to share them with you. Thank you so much to everyone who submitted ideas. This was a really fun experience for us, and we hope to do it again soon.
